Tiger Leaping Gorge
Carved between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain, Tiger Leaping Gorge is renowned for its dramatic depth and powerful river currents. With towering cliffs and a roaring river below, the gorge presents one of China’s most awe-inspiring natural spectacles. Its legendary name comes from a tale of a tiger leaping across the river, symbolizing both strength and adventure.
Balagezong
Tucked deep within the mountains, Balagezong is often described as a hidden sanctuary of Shangri-La. Surrounded by sacred peaks, deep valleys, and ancient villages, the region preserves a raw and untouched beauty. With cultural landmarks such as temples, pagodas, and traditional Tibetan settlements, it offers a rare glimpse into a spiritual and secluded world.
Golden Snub
Home to one of China’s most endangered primates, the Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey Sanctuary provides a unique opportunity to observe these rare animals in their natural habitat. Set within pristine forest ecosystems, the area reflects Yunnan’s rich biodiversity and ecological importance, offering both educational and immersive nature experiences.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Lijiang
Upon arrival in Lijiang, guests are transferred to their hotel and can begin exploring the city at a relaxed pace. In the evening, experience the unique Naxi culture through a traditional Dongba script writing session, offering an introduction to one of the world’s last remaining pictographic languages.
Day 2 – Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Exploration (32KM)
Today’s highlight is a full-day visit to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Take the cable car up to the glacier park at 4,506 meters and witness one of the southernmost glaciers in the northern hemisphere. The journey continues to Blue Moon Valley and White Water River, known for their striking turquoise waters and alpine scenery.
Day 3 – Lijiang - Balagezong (270KM)
Travel towards one of China’s most dramatic natural wonders, Tiger Leaping Gorge. Surrounded by towering cliffs and roaring river currents, the landscape is both powerful and awe-inspiring. Continue onward to Balagezong, a hidden paradise nestled deep within the mountains.
Day 4 – Balagezong - Shangri-La (80KM)
Explore the scenic landscapes of Balagezong, including villages, temples, and canyon viewpoints. After lunch, journey towards Shangri-La, a region known for its Tibetan culture and spiritual heritage.
Day 5 – Shangri-La Free Day
Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Shangri-La at your own pace. Optional visits include Pudacuo National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, or the grasslands of Napahai. Alternatively, relax in Dukezong Ancient Town and experience the local culture.
Day 6 – Shangri-La - Weixi (105KM)
Depart for Weixi County, passing through peaceful countryside landscapes. Upon arrival, check into a boutique luxury accommodation designed with refined interiors and tranquil surroundings, offering a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Day 7 – Weixi - Liming (87KM)
Visit the Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey Sanctuary and observe one of China’s rarest wildlife species. Continue to Liming for an in-depth exploration of its unique Danxia landforms. Activities include cable car rides and cultural experiences with local communities.
Day 8 – Liming - Lijiang (120KM)
Return to Lijiang with optional activities such as canyon exploration or Via Ferrata climbing. Along the way, visit sections of the historic Tea Horse Road before concluding the journey.

- Rider with valid driving license from native country, with moderate riding experience.
- International Driving Permit is required.
- For routes in China, temporary driving license will be issued on arrival.

- Tour fare quoted is valid for bike selections of up to 1000cc, supplement applies for bike selections over 1000cc.

Riding Gear
- You may bring your own riding gears or rent/buy at destination country.
- Riding gears are not included with motorcycle rental unless otherwise specified.
- Tail box may be included in certain model/routes.
Group Size
The maximum riders in each group is capped at 16 to ensure the best quality, riding rhythm, engagement & safety.
Pillion
Pillion packages are available, however some routes are technical, so pillion riders should be comfortable with mountain riding.
Safety & Support
- A comprehensive e-safety guide will be included.
- Pre tour briefing will be conducted upon motorcycle handover.
- Briefing will also be conducted daily before departure by local guide.
- Support van is included for group tours.
Insurance
Comprehensive vehicle insurance for motorcycles with deductible according to the booked motorcycle model.

- Deposit of RM5000/person is required for booking.
