Tour Highlight

Japan’s Highest National Road (2,172 m)

Riding Japan’s highest national road is a true bucket-list achievement, combining high altitude, crisp mountain air, and sweeping alpine views. The climb rewards riders with dramatic scenery and a sense of accomplishment rarely found on Japanese roads.

Irohazaka Widing Road

This remote forest section delivers quiet, technical riding through dense mountain landscapes. Known for its 48 hairpin turns, narrow roads, flowing bends, and minimal traffic make it one of the most immersive riding experiences of the tour.

Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel

A striking blend of nature and modern design, this tunnel leads riders into one of Japan’s deepest gorges. The contrast between dramatic rock formations and reflective interior spaces creates a memorable off-bike highlight.

Ouchi-Juku

This beautifully preserved Edo-period post town offers a step back in time after a day of mountain riding. The thatched-roof streets provide cultural depth and a striking visual contrast to the surrounding alpine roads.
